Rat Bait Guitars 2026 Builds Begin
Two New Rat Bait Builds Heading for eBay — January 2026
A new year, two new guitars, and the same unapologetic Rat Bait Guitars spirit. Over on Instagram you’ll find the latest workshop update from @guitarsalvage, and these two fresh builds are already generating interest - for anyone hunting down something raw, characterful, and built with purpose rather than polish, they will be available soon.
Nashville‑Style Telecaster — A Working Guitar for Working Players
First on the bench is a Nashville‑style Telecaster, one of those builds that always feels right from the moment the parts come together. There’s something about this configuration — the versatility, the bite, the way it sits in the hands — that makes it a favourite to assemble and an even better guitar to play.
This one isn’t pretending to be a museum piece. It’s built the way a real working guitar should be: rough‑edged, smooth‑playing, and ready for sweat, gigs, and long nights. No sterile perfection. No factory gloss. Just a solid, honest instrument with the kind of attitude you only get from reclaimed timber.
Hybrid Tele / Strat — Salvaged, Scarred, and Full of Character
Next up is something a little wilder: a Telecaster body routed like a Strat, paired with a reverse headstock and wearing a genuine rust‑stained scratchplate salvaged from a battered vintage guitar. The plate alone carries decades of stories — the kind of wear you simply can’t fake. This is truly a relic!
Visually, it’s a beast. Sonically, it leans vintage, with that unmistakable Strat breathiness. It looks bloody awesome and sounds even better.
Built From What Others Throw Away
Both guitars follow the same Rat Bait philosophy that’s been there since day one:
recycled, reclaimed, repurposed materials turned into instruments with history, scars, and soul.
Every piece of timber has lived a life before the workshop. Every imperfection is part of the story. These aren’t guitars for collectors who want flawless finishes — they’re for players who want something real, something with grit, something that feels alive the moment you pick it up.
Nothing factory‑perfect.
Everything honest.
Keep an eye on the eBay listings — these two won’t hang around.
